A few tidbits relating to the recent Star Trek movie trailers and the upcoming film. Although none of the trailers released so far contain any music by Michael Giacchino, the Official Star Trek Movie Site does feature a Giacchino composiiton as the background music.

The music for the recently released third Star Trek trailer is called "Freedom Fighters" and was created by Two Steps from Hell, a small two-man company that specializes in scoring movie trailers. Another Two Steps from Hell composition called "Down With Enterprise" is used in the second Star Trek trailer (along with parts of "War Begins" from Brian Tyler's Children of Dune soundtrack).
